The Railroad Museum of Oklahoma housed in an old train depot has has an EXTENSIVE collection of railroad memorabilia, including dining car china, maps, stamps, signs, posters, tickets, lanterns, etc., plus miniature train sets.
Outside in the rail yard you’ll find box cars, cabooses, and the super-cool Wanda Lee dining car.
Mission: Our mission is to preserve the railroad history primarily of Enid and northwest Oklahoma, to interpret that history for the benefit of our visitors, and to educate our audience about the importance of the railroad industry and about safety around railroad property including at-grade crossings.
Needs:
- Volunteers who can help our guests learn about, and enjoy seeing, our collection.
- Mechanically-inclined volunteers who can help maintain our locomotives and train cars.
- Donation of railroad artifacts and related items.
