The Woodring Wall of Honor and Veterans Park features an 80% scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., with over 58,000 names inscribed. The Living Walls feature Oklahoma veterans active duty, retired, MIA, those killed while serving. Always open. Also visit the ML Becker Learning Center, with a library and aircraft artifacts.
Mission: Woodring Wall of Honor and Veterans Park, Inc. will honor all Oklahoma members of the Armed Forces who served honorably or who are serving their country. We will pay tribute to those who gave their lives, were prisoners of war or missing in action throughout the year. We will serve as an educational tool for the general public by preserving the history of veterans and events of war through our programs, projects and static displays. The Wall of Honor is dedicated to the veterans who preserve the freedoms that we cherish.
Needs:
- Volunteers to do outdoor work in the park
- Volunteers to man the museum and welcome visitors on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays
- Volunteers for special events
